Scott and I saw our first Bald Eagle

Scott and I were fishing last Saturday on the Snake river below the dam about 5 miles from the house.

We looked up and saw a huge bald eagle land on the communications tower on the dam. I could not fish at that point. I kept on telling Scott, look isn't that cool... He finally got frustrated with me after 5-10 minutes of comments in awe.

The Eagle then flew off. I took off my hat to shield the sun to watch it fly away and commented that it was the symbol of Americas freedom to him. He thought I was saluting and took off his hoodie and said Dad I'm sorry, I didn't mean not to show respect. He then put his hand on his heart... It made my day..

Happy Birthday to all and Happy Easter

The computer is working...

I did try to call everyone on their birthday...I have promised my selt that I will be better at this.

I hope Daenon had a great day... only two more years and it's the big 40. I also hope Kimber had a great day...

Dad, we miss you and hope you also had a wonderful day...

Jeniffer... I will work on the easement stuff first thing in the morning. I am exhausted right now.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T

As Nathan was getting ready for bed last night he just had to find his baby to change his diaper and feed him a bottle! FINALLY, a boy in my family treats my baby dolls with RESPECT! Hopefully your girls won't see you torture their babies. It can be very tramatizing to a kid!
JUST PLAYING....I love you guys!

Is It November Yet?

- Hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend. Miss you guys and can't wait for November to roll back around!
- Ryan said to tell you all that his computer is down for a bit and hopes to get it back up and working properly. He is trying to get the wireless to work properly. Nice to talk to you on Sunday!
- DJKK- Hope you guys had a great time vacationing and celebrating in Colorado. Will have to catch up voice this week. Can't wait to see pictures! Hailey received the ever so cute get well package from the girls and couldn't wait to show Brady when he got home from work. So sweet. Thank you!
- Tessa- I talk to you a zillion times a day so here is another shout out for you- LOVE YOU!
- Papa/Rhonda- How was the Easter dinner party? Miss you!

We had a nice weekend playing at the lake house. It was a little chilly at times but the kiddos enjoyed playing outside anyway. Hunter enjoyed hunting eggs for the first time but liked just being in the good outdoors more!

Here is one of the few okay photos I tried to take of the kids before I had them change out of their Easter clothes. Hunter has his coat on still but o-well. He didn't think taking pictures at the time was a nice idea. I had flash backs of Easter picture time and so can relate now it is not even funny. I think I even said a few things. "I JUST WANT A NICE PICTURE OF YOU GUYS!"

Thank you Dad

Dad-

I am not so good about checking my mail everyday at the mail box and to my surprise I found your Birthday card to me in there! I appreciate the card.. it made me laugh! You didn't have to send one at all.
If I would have know you were going to tack on "INTEREST" I would have waited another few months to tell you that you forgot my Birthday.. JUST KIDDING!
I had a good laugh at when I saw the check with interest for 2 months. You crack me up! I told you that you didn't need to send birthday money. My song was enough for me when you were here. That is all I wanted from you.. was to hear you sing my song I love. I love you so much and hope all is well at your home! We are doing great, happy and healthy!
Call you on Easter Sunday!

Loves and Hugs,
Tessa

Happy Easter Week!

This picture was in my baby book. Mother came to my Kindergarten class dressed up like a bunny rabbit. The gigantic basket cracks me up. I am in the picture marked with an "x". This picture makes me laugh and I hope I can be that spunky when my children go to school. Not sure though...

P.S. She labeled herself in the picture as "Big Pinky"!

Need Help

I have alot of recordings from Mom etc that I need direction/help to burn to cd or other media for everyone to have.

I would like to have a family library of sorts for us all to enjoy. I have listened to at least one of the tapes on a Sunday and it is nice to hear her singing on the Sabath.

What should be do? What equipment do I need etc?

There are even tapes of Great Grandma Drake, Grandma Wilson, Mom and Mary kae Singing all together. How great is that?

Love to all

The "Big Boys" on Ski Hill

Our Home, the snow is now starting to melt. Notice the roof. It was about 3 feet deep. We had to remove most of it with shovels
This is the snow pack in our back yard along the property line. The area behind is open field for miles.

I feel the need for speed

Benjamin Ryan- has his Dad's love for skating.. These are snow skates... Skate boards for the snow.
It was a warm day... They ran out the back door without their coats.

Scott James "down hill-speed skating"

The lilac bushes are at leat 8 feet high.. The hill was as high as the roof-the garage is to the right

"The" Swing

Thursday was probably the most emotional day I've had in the recent months of selling the family homesteads in Scottsdale, AZ. It was the last day that the tire swing would remain in the huge pine tree outback. It was hard, to see things as they have been, and different from how they will be... I have to thank Rob for hanging that seriously dangerous swing a few years back... even if as adults we thought he was "loco" for doing so, but if he'd never done it - my girls would probably never have memories of how fun a rush of height can be- and that touching the roof is really possible, and that taking turns, or standing in line is really worth something and most of all that time with family really is important. The trees are amazing... nothing we'll probably ever have hands on again and it's now I have to remind myself that the "Roots" of our family are not about the things we have or keep in this life - but what we learn, the lives we touch, and the memories we take with us when we go. Too many more memories to come - I love you all.

Hailey's Home!

Many thanks to everybody for your love and prayers. I know she was blessed because of them. Hailey came home today and had a pretty good afternoon. Her "red hair" showed up big time this evening and after that she fell asleep on the couch. It is nice to have her home again. Will post a picture and details later. We love and miss you all very much!!!

P.S. The time change is terrible isn't it Ryan? Sorry I missed your call the other night. Will catch up with you soon.

I think I'm on now

To my family:

I hope all is well with you. Camey, I heard from Tessa that your little one is not well. Our prayers are with you and your family. It tears me up inside when the children are sick. I remember how Mom used to stay up all night with us. I miss you all and pray for you constantly. I want to talk and communicate more with you guys.

I hope Hailey comes home soon.

I hope Nathan is doing better.

We are well, I will update some photos of house and the kids soon. Day light savings time is killing me. Living in AZ spoiled me.

We will write more soon.

Love to all.

Daenon/Jennifer and the girls... we want to thank you so much for all help with the house. You will never know how much it has meant to us. We pray it is over soon.

HOW WAS YOUR BATH in that tub you told me about? I just want you to know that we all love you very much and you are in our prayers. Loves, Hugs and Kisses! See you soon when we come to visit!
Love,

Green Glasses at Lakehouse Maybe?

Hailey Tucker - 9 Months

Wednesday, March 5, 2008

Where ohh Where??

Where or where could our "RYAN" family be.. Oh where ohh where could they be? Please hurry and join our family fun.. we miss you so much!

Green Glasses Error

Dear Tessa,

I am so sorry about your green glasses! I did take them long ago and had them up until last year if you can believe that! They are probably here somewhere. Don't remember where I put them when I moved from Norman to Edmond. If I was still in Norman, I could pull them out in a flash. They were lovely green glasses with little chew marks on them. PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR STEALING YOUR PRETTY GREEN GLASSES WITH NO LENSES!!! And YES I did make an error. They are not Mr. Potato Head glasses. What was I thinking? You can clearly see how Mr. Potato Head glasses look on someone from your photo.
The green glasses will now haunt me and every day I will look for them. I have already searched places I think they will be :)

P.S. I can still picture you in those glasses in Metairie. You always looked so cute in them and seemed to be having so much fun. Maybe that is why I STOLE them!

My missing glasses!!!

Now I know who the thief was of my favorite green glasses! Come here my little pretty! Trying to blame it on Mr. Potatoe Head huh? I didn't think Mr. Potatoe Head had that big of a head... Hmmmmm... Mystery solved! Case Closed!
P.S. This is what happens when your siblings take your stuff.. you have to resort to other alternatives! And don't think I have forgotten about my brothers be-heading my barbies and making videos of them jumping off the landing in Oklahoma or putting nail polish on my cabbage patch kids! PAY BACK.. PAY BACK... JK :-) I love you!

Need A Good Laugh?

3o Something...
14 or 15 Years Old

For those who are wondering, the green glasses belong to Tessa's Mr. Potato Head when she was a baby. I liked them better on me I suppose and kept them ever since! As for the pink glasses and lovely hair, I must have eaten some crazy pills.
